Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) in UNY refers to the quality assurance system of higher education that implement the eight standards in accordance with Law 19 of 2005, namely: content standards / curriculum, learning standards, competency standards, standards of education and educational personnel, facilities standards and infrastructure, management standards, funding standards, and educational assessment. SMPI implemented since 2005 and handled by Tim Ad Hock. SPMI was confirmed again by raising the status of the team as the office manager by the name of the Office of Quality Assurance (KPM). In SPMI, there are various constraints. The most frequently encountered obstacles to achieve the standard is to change the culture of academic work toward targeted / set its own standards. Management constraints, especially at this stage of quality control monitoring. Monitoring and analysis of data manually takes a long time. To overcome this, the ICT-based monitoring systems have been developed. Evaluation of SPMI as a system, not an evaluation of the achievement standards. Internal self-evaluation is an evaluation of SPMI as a system. External evaluation is an evaluation by the parties outside the university, both nationally and internationally as a system of SPMI. External evaluation conducted by the Higher Education through the National Accreditation Board (BAN). The result is a quality assurance system implemented in UNY otherwise have good practices in the SPMI.
